rules. out of character. 001. This is a semi-literate site, meaning we expect proper use of grammar, spelling, and punctuation for ease of reading. 002. Under no circumstances are ooc racism, ableism, sexism, and general discrimination allowed. You get one chance, and one chance only. This site is lgbtq+ friendly and we encourage people from all backgrounds, genders, sexualities, et cetera, and any disrespect from other members will not be tolerated. 003. Never harass another member to plot or thread with you. If they don't want to, then they don't want to, and if it comes to staff attention, you will be warned, and possibly banned if this isn't your first offense. 004. Don't pester staff to review your character. We have lives too, and while we make a point to review applications as quickly as possible, sometimes we can't review the application right away. Be patient. 005. Theft will not be tolerated. If you have something that you didn't make - please credit the original person who made it, and do not claim it as your own. This includes original artwork and templates. 006. Lose Your Soul does not have a word count, seeing as we believe in quality over quantity. But please avoid single-sentence replies, and if you're given a multi-paragraph reply, don't respond with just a few short sentences. 007. When creating a thread, please mark its privacy in the title. For example, if you're creating a thread that's open to everyone, put {open}. If you want people to ask before joining, put {semi-open}, and if you want only a specific person put either {closed} or their name. 008. If you have an issue with another member, staff, or an overall complaint about the site, please bring it to the attention of a staff member. We will not silence someone for having an opinion. However, we as staff reserve the right to place our foot down if an issue gets out of hand. As admin we try our best to push away any personal feelings toward matters and handle it as a mediator. in character. 001. As required by Proboards' Terms of Service, please keep content on this site at a pg-13 level. Cursing is allowed, but please don't go overboard. Sex scenes and other suggestive or questionable content such as drug use do not belong on this site, not even via personal messages, so please take that off-site immediately. 002. Activity-wise, we will be hosting activity checks once every two months, but they will rarely, if ever, require in-character posts. We know it's difficult to post sometimes, so as long as you post in the activity check to show us you're still interested in the site, you'll be fine. If you have a planned absence that will last more than two months, then please let us know ahead of time by posting in the Intros and Absences board. 003. One character per account! Currently we don't allow OOC accounts, and currently there is no limit to how many characters you can create. However, please try to be fairly active with all of them! 004. Please reach out to other people. After a while, it isn’t fun to see the same two people thread their characters with one another and hardly branching out. We are a community, not a one-on-one thread. Don’t be exclusive. 005. We are an animanga face claim site, so when adding images to your character's application, please use only animanga images for the face claim. Also, be sure to check the claims to make sure that your face has not already been claimed by another member. Original face claims are also allowed under certain circumstances. Please PM a staff member with the face that you would like to use and we have the right to accept or reject them on the basis of whether or not they are too outlandish. 006. This site uses both liquid and static time. This means that your characters are able to be active in multiple threads at once, so long as you are active in all of them! All characters will age on-site, but the aging process only applies to humans. 007. Powerplaying, godmodding, mary-sues, gary-stus, flaming, or any other type of behavior that is generally frowned upon in character has no place on this site. 008. Please use common sense when roleplaying and creating characters. cbox. 001. Please don't advertise in the cbox, we have a board for that. 002. Be respectful when chatting. While you have more freedom to talk about sensitive topics in the cbox, keep in mind that other members may be under the age of eighteen or are simply uncomfortable with certain topics of conversation. If a staff member notices that a topic is too sensitive or inappropriate, we will politely ask you to take the topic elsewhere. 003. Absolutely no bashing, trolling, spamming, drama, or hate in the cbox will be tolerated. If you have personal topics to rant about, take it elsewhere, don't make others uncomfortable. 004. Misbehaving in the cbox in any way can and will lead to a temporary ban and warning. If you have multiple offenses, then staff will have to take action, and could lead to a permanent ban from the cbox. |
application. 001. When posting your application, please title the thread in the format: [M/F/NB] LASTNAME, FIRSTNAME, choosing either M for male, F for female, or NB if your character identifies as a gender in the non-binary spectrum. 002. When you're filling out the application, make sure to search the page for CHANGETHISCOLOR and change it to the appropriate color for your member group. For humans (standard, gifted, cursed, onmyouji, and vessels), change to #81a6ce. For youkai, change to #d39771. If the colors aren't changed or are the pink color from the preview post, your app will recieve a pending. 003. The image should be 200 pixels wide by 300 pixels tall, but if it is slightly off, the template will just stretch the image. However, if staff notices that the image is too stretched, we may put a pending on the application until it is fixed. If you have no way of fixing the image yourself for the time being, feel free to ask staff to create an image with the proper dimensions for you! 004. Please write your character's age in numbers, and include their birth date afterwards in the format MONTH ##. 005. When writing the character's gender, this refers only to their gender identity, not their birth sex, but you are free to include both if you wish to. However, to avoid stretching the box, please use the acronyms DMAB (designated male at birth) or DFAB (designated female at birth) for any characters it applies to. 006. When writing your character's height and weight, please use feet and inches for their height, and pounds for their weight. 007. For your character's species, unless they are a human with no special abilities, please specify which species they are. In the species page, we offer a list of example youkai and sites of reference you can use when creating a character, as well as variants of humans, so be sure to look it over! 008. Your character's occupation, sexuality, personality, and biography should be self-explanitory. 009. The miscellaneous section is for any trivia or extra information about your character you wish to include. This could be physical traits, likes and dislikes, or just little fun-facts. 010. Both the biography and miscellaneous sections of the applications are optional. You are by no means required to include them, however, should staff find some concern with either, they hold the power to pend the app until the concern is dealt with. 011. If you want to edit your application after it's been accepted, you'll have to send a PM to a member of staff, since the applications will be locked. We will unlock the thread, and once you've finished, just let us know so that we can lock the thread afterwards. 011. Lastly, remember: don't quote the post for the application code! Instead, staff has another post beneath the preview that you can easily copy for the code. |
